Some of them we will help you do ...

Bird from the garden of the padishah

A bit of dexterity and patience - and the royal lady settled in your room ... A peacock from painted cardboard, decorated with sequins and bright feathers, in a "golden" cage made of metal wire ...
Cell size: height approx. 52 cm, width 40 cm.
Peacock size: 21.5 x 18 cm.

You will need

Peacock

Colored cardboard in black, 3 peacock feathers, green and blue feathers, sparkling stone for the eye; various sequins; transparent paper, carbon paper; pencil; glue.

Cell

Thick cardboard approx. 3 mm; gold wire approx. 16 m, 2 mm thick; nippers, pliers, paints of "golden" and brown colors; brush; hole puncher; carpet knife.

How to do

Peacock

The peacock’s motive is to be reshaped onto transparent paper, enlarged to the desired size on the copy machine. The contours of the motif using carbon paper to transfer to colored cardboard. Motif cut exactly along the contour. Glue a stone in place of the eye, glue sequins on the head as plumage. Stick feathers of different lengths in place of the tail.

Cell

Cut two half circles from cardboard: 1x with a straight side 40 cm long (= radius 20 cm); 1x with a straight side of 13 cm (= radius 6.5 cm). Punch a 21 hole in diameter with a puncher along the rounded edge of the cardboard. approx. 3 mm at a distance of approx. 0.7 cm from the edge of the cardboard at equal intervals. On a large semicircle, the spacing between the holes is approx. 3 cm, on a small one - approx. 0.9 cm. Finish the holes 1 cm from the straight side.
Paint cardboard semicircles with gold paint. Let the paint dry.
Cut 21 pieces 65 cm long from the wire. First, cut the pieces of wire through the holes of the large semicircle (base), then through the corresponding holes of the small semicircle (top), the wire should protrude at the top. The distance between the two cardboard semicircles is approx. 35 cm
Under the cardboard base with pliers, wrap the ends of the wire with a loop to fix them (so that the rods do not pass through the holes). As shown in the model photo, bend the bars of the cage. To fix the position of the rods under the cardboard top, a metal washer can be put on each rod. Connect the ends of the rods protruding above the cardboard top and tightly wrap a piece of wire at a distance of 9.5 cm from the cardboard top. The ends with the help of pliers beautifully twist the rings (see photo) and straighten in different directions. To give the cage an “antique” look, in several places cover it with brown paint.

Tropical butterfly
These magical creatures are like jewels. It is not surprising that they are displayed in windows, like real diamonds. Making our butterfly your own with your own hands is not difficult at all: on the body, molded from the mass for Fimo crafts, you just need to fix the four ends of the peacock feathers.
Size: approx. 14 x 18 cm
You will need
For one butterfly - 4 peacock feathers (each feather must have a “peephole”); mass for modeling (Fimo), drying in air; fine brown wire, pliers, wire cutters, bronze-colored paint (or nail polish); brush, transparent glue; 1 wooden clothespin 2.5 cm long.

How to do
From the mass for modeling, mold the trunk of a butterfly approx. 3 cm, align the lower part so that you can later stick a clothespin to it. Trim feathers so that only “eyes” remain and insert into the body in place of the wings. Cut 2 pieces of wire 5 cm long, bend one end of each wire several times around the tip of the pliers. Insert straight pieces of wire into the head like antennae. Let the mass dry. Stick a clothespin to the bottom of the butterfly.

Oriental-style decorative brush
For this pendant, use the trimmings of feathers left after making the tropical butterfly. Tie them in a bundle and attach to a ball decorated with flickering beads. Hang the brush on a branch painted the color of your new interior.
Brush length approx. 18 cm

you will need
OK. 4 peacock feathers without "eye"; twisted black threads; the remains of dense silk of dark blue color; thin gold cord; turquoise velvet ribbon approx. 1 cm; iridescent beads of blue, purple and brown diam. 2 mm; cotton wool for stuffing; needle and thread for stringing beads; threads and needle for sewing.

How to do
Feathers (endlessly with an “eye”) cut into a certain length and connected at the cut ends into a bundle, then tightly twist with threads. Tie the ends in knots.
Cut a circle of diam from silk. approx. 13 cm. At a distance of approx. 0.5 cm from the cut for sewing with a needle and thread for sewing, lay the stitch with the needle stitches “forward, with the beginning and end of the thread hanging. Carefully pull the beginning and end of the thread, evenly distribute the assembly. The resulting ball is not filled with cotton wool. Pass through the hole the ends of the feather bundle. The seam allowances will be laid inwards and firmly fixed together by hand with several stitches with twisted threads.
Around the ball crosswise pull a gold cord, hide the beginning and end inside the ball.
Fold the velvet ribbon in half in length and sew as a loop for hanging in the middle of the top edge with several stitches by hand.
The ball is tightly embroidered with beads of various colors.

Napkins: little things in the interior
Not at all trifles - after all, an integral picture is made of them. For example, in our room organically complement the overall picture of napkins, hand-painted with peacock feather motifs. We give the motive at the beginning of the article, in the photo show, you just have to cut a pattern on it and paint the fabric with textile colors.
Motive Size: approx. 16 x 7.5 cm

You will need
Cloth for napkins of dark gray color (cotton or mixed cotton fabric); rubber mat; cardboard residues; textile paint with metallic paint of gold, turquoise, blue and black colors; brushes and / or roller and paint tray; a piece of chalk; scissors; glue; transparent paper, carbon paper; pencil; knitting needle or ballpoint pen.
How to do
Wash and iron the fabric for napkins before printing. Copy the motive onto transparent paper, enlarge to the desired size and transfer to a rubber mat. The motive is cut along the outer contour. "Push" the inner contours with a ballpoint pen or knitting needle. To make stamping convenient, stick the rubber motive onto cardboard.
The fabric for the napkin is laid out smoothly on the work surface. On the fabric with chalk, mark the size of the future napkin (40 x 40 cm). First, try to stamp the motif on calico or other cheap fabric. To stamp, at each stage, draw a thin even layer of gold paint on the rubber motif and make sure that the motif is pressed evenly against the fabric without shifting. On each napkin, print an arbitrary number of motifs. After the paint has dried, draw on the motifs manually turquoise, blue and black peacock eyes. If desired, add other color accents with a brush.
Let the motives dry for at least 6 hours and then fix the paint by ironing the napkin from the wrong side.See also paint manufacturer's directions. Cut napkins and circle around with an approx. 1 cm
CASKET FOR SUGGESTED WISHES
Ordinary matchboxes can turn into tiny caskets for storing notes with hidden wishes or other miniatures dear to the heart. Just decorate the boxes with sparkles, glass beads and sequins.
Size: approx. 5 x 4 x 1.5 cm
You will need
Empty matchboxes, various shreds and remnants of colored paper, markers with sparkling paint, sparkles, glue, various sequins, bugles.
How to do
Matchboxes should be covered with paper or cloth. If desired, paint the upper part of the boxes with markers and create various motifs (for example, monograms) using beads, sequins, bugles or beads. For a peacock feather motif, apply a feather-like glue to the surface of the matchbox lid with a thin layer, spray the sparkles on the glue that has not yet dried. Glue to dry and stick sequins. Write wishes on a small piece of paper, roll a note into a roll and put in a matchbox.
Tip
Do not try to pluck feathers from a live pheasant. Feathers can be purchased both in zoos and in various souvenir shops.
