Yes, that's right - this bowl is made of dense woolen fabric using starch for textiles. But first you need to cut the circle ...

Size: Diam. OK. 40 cm, height 15 cm
YOU WILL NEED Gray wool fabric size. 55 x 55 cm; fabric starch; a large (ribbed) muffin baking dish; a bucket or a large basin for immersing tissue, household gloves; plastic film; scissors; measuring tape; a piece of chalk.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK From woolen fabric, cut a circle diam. 50 cm. To do this, fold the square of the fabric with the front side inward four times. Starting from the center point, use a ruler and a chalk to draw a quarter of a circle with a radius of 25 cm. Cut a circle and expand in one layer.

Dilute textile starch according to the manufacturer’s instructions in a large container. Immerse the fabric in starch and hold until it is evenly and completely saturated with the solution. Remove the cloth from the solution, squeeze it slightly and put the center to the center on the bottom of the overturned baking dish. Before this, cover the mold with plastic wrap. Lay the fabric in waves on the sides - along the edges of the form or randomly and in the process of drying and hardening constantly correct the shape of the bowl a little.
After the starch has completely dried, carefully and evenly cut the edges of the bowl.
Tip: experiment with different fabrics - from lace and sheer chiffon to thin fabrics with dense printedpatterned. They will look especially beautiful as an "inverted lampshade" for a candle in a glass.
