This method is suitable for transferring to felt lines of a pattern that will be covered by embroidery during operation, since this is not a fading marker, but a regular one. The key to success is a fresh, new marker, which has not dried out yet and writes well. The second point is to take a fairly thick paper so that it does not get wet from the marker. Instead of paper, you can use a piece of non-thick, but strong plastic that holds its shape well. For example, in the same pack the same felt that is sold in sheets.

You will need:
- felt;
- thick paper or a piece of plastic;
- if you use paper - pencil;
- fresh thick marker;
- thin marker;
- awl;
- a pair of tailor pins;
- a flap of soft tissue.

Step 1
Draw a sketch on paper. If you print a drawing on office paper, then transfer it to a thick one.
Step 2
Fold the fabric in half or four, place a sketch under the sheet of paper and push the holes with an awl along the outline of the pattern. Too often you do not need to make holes; just outline the outline.
Step 3
Put the sketch paper on the felt and secure with pins.
Marker points where holes are made with a marker. Hold the marker longer on each hole so that the paint reaches the felt.

Remove the paper. On the felt there will remain dots indicating the outline of the pattern.
Now you can circle the outline with a thinner felt-tip pen and embroider.
