Finishing cuts with trim tape is a simple enough way to give the trim edges of the material a flat and neat appearance.
So, cut out the finishing braid (slanting inlay) 24 mm wide without an average crease.
- Remove the presser foot holder from the machine along with the presser foot and install the edging device.
- Obliquely cut the front end of the trim tape.
- Bring the sharp corner of the braid into the "snail" of the edging device and pull it out from the back.
- Adjust the position of the needle so that the needle sticks into the material at a distance of 1-1.5 mm from the fold of the curved braid.
- Sew a few centimeters along the braid.
- Then lay the trimmed edge of the edging material between the folded braid in the notch of the edging device. During sewing, the finishing braid will bend itself around the trimmed edge of the fabric.
An additional decorative effect can be obtained by using a zigzag or decorative stitch.
